Teaching
Teaching is not only one of my passions but I feel it is also a part of my duty to humanity.
As we move into this new age of technologically advanced industrialization, I believe that humans are forfeiting too much knowledge to its mechanical creations. Much of the knowledge that humans need for basic survival is lost. Most humans would meet their demise if they were placed in a context where they had to feed themselves, could not use money, and no others were around to care for them. Other examples of this forfeiture include our inability to remember simple things such as phone numbers anymore due to our reliance upon cell phone address books. Another example is our blindness to the fact that what we believe is freedom to choose is actually just freedom to choose from what has been placed before us.
I believe it is the duty of scientists and educators such as myself to help insure that we do not make the same mistakes of the past or at least help society to become aware of the pattern it is reconstructing as a means of preparation for the pending consequences. The burning of the Library of Alexandria clearly illustrated that once knowledge is lost it takes a very long time for it to be re-desseminated by those who have hopefully held on to it, if their are some who have. But in the meantime, it is also clear that the aftermath of such loss takes its toll.
To fulfill this part of my sacred duty, I am committed to doing my part in the dissemination of theoretical and practical knowledge by teaching various subsets of the population at multiple levels. Therefore, I instruct at the college level by maintaining teaching positions at various colleges and universities, I teach at the community level by offering workshops and seminars in the community, and I inspire globally by offering courses through this website and my other internet affiliations.
View the classes I am currently offering at local colleges and universities via the My Classes link on the sidebar.
I am also co-developing for the Tucson and Phoenix communities on meditation, quantum understandings, and spirituality and science courses with my internet partners MayAllBeHappy.org. Look for information on these courses in this section shortly.
And finally, in the coming weeks, I will be offering a number of e-courses for self-development with topics based on classes I have taught at the college level. Some of the topics include:
Look for information and for registration to open for those here shortly as well.
I look forward to working with you all in some way in the coming months.
